A program designed for freshmen is returning after nearly two decades. The Freshman League is an intramural program that aims to help first-year students participate in intramurals, make friends, and build community outside the classroom. It was brought back by Campus Recreation for fall 2026 due to improvements in structure.

The intramural sports program has a long history, dating back to 1924. Today, around 5,000 undergraduate students participate in intramurals. Further details about the program and its benefits are available, including information on student retention rates among participants in intramural sports.
