A recent flood in Kerr County has caused significant damage to homes and businesses. Governor Greg Abbott reported that 135 homes were destroyed or heavily damaged. Additionally, 490 homes and around 100 businesses suffered damage from the floodwaters.

The flood was caused by water surging over the banks of the Guadalupe River. 08 feet in Comfort before receding to around 5 feet. Governor Abbott noted that the flood was particularly severe, with almost all rivers in the region hitting record highs.
